Thin delicate slices of bellota shoulder with an elegant and sweet flavour. La Prudencia Bellota Iberian Shoulder, from Ibérico pigs raised free in our Extremadura farms. Fed exclusively by acorns from the holm oaks and cork oaks typical of the Extremadura pasture, our black pata negra Iberian pigs eat 9 kg of acorns a day during the montanera period (from November to February), to reach an optimal weight of 180 Kg. The ham is cured in natural drying rooms and storehouses for more than 36 months using artisanal and traditional methods.
La Prudencia bellota Iberian shoulder follows the traditions of our grandparents that remind us of authentic village flavours. Soft but intense, marbled and pleasant on the palate, fine and elegant, sweet and harmonious, a treat for the 5 senses.
Recommendations for use: Best kept in the fridge at a temperature between 0º-4ºC and taken out one hour before consumption. Another option is to take it out of the fridge and hold the container over warm water for a minute in order to achieve the ideal consumption temperature. Once opened, it is preferable to consume the slices within 2-3 days.
